BALCON IVY LEAF PELARGONIUMS
‘Balcon Ivy Leaf’ pelargoniums are the ones you may have seen while vacationing in Bavaria, Switzerland and Germany. These are planted in window boxes and although the flowers are smaller than regular ivy leaf pelargoniums, they more than make up for it in quantity. So far all Balcon Ivy Leaf are single flowered so the plants are self-cleaning in that the petals fall off themselves.
With hybridization, there are variegated Balcon ivy leaf plants available now so you also have the choice of green and white or two-toned green leaves and a variety of flower colours.
I have had so many enquiries about this type of ivy leaf that I have chosen to separate them from the regular ivy leaf pelargoniums to make it easier for those of you that are only interested in this type. Please note - not all of this variety are compact, some have longer internodes than others (the stem distance between leaves).
